Yes, in most cases, health insurance covers most if not all treatment costs. The extent of coverage depends on your insurance policy, the provider you choose, and your case specifics.

Most insurance polices will cover mental health and drug rehab services that are considered medically necessary and for which there is not a less expensive alternative. Covered rehab services usually include diagnosis of the substance use disorder, prescribed medications, medical detox, therapy, lab services, outpatient therapy and any needed hospitalization.
